We unite the Nigerian manufacturing community, fortified with our registered trademarks to aid our members in selling more of their locally made products. The Made in Nigeria mark is protected and can only be used under license by our members, strictly adhering to the published Terms & Conditions.
As a not-for-profit organization, we support Nigerian manufacturers with the official trademarks. We collaborate with other Nigerian trade bodies, relevant Nigerian government departments, and media channels to promote high-quality employment, responsible business, and sustainable economic growth. We work relentlessly throughout the year to represent and promote Nigerian manufacturing.
The Story of the Made in Nigeria Trademark
Made in Nigeria began as a commercial marketing campaign in 2011. A Lagos-based textile manufacturer launched a competition to design a logo for their newly-established product line promotion and campaign. When the winning mark was unveiled in 2011, Nigerian businesses rushed to apply to use the logo, with hundreds of companies showing an interest. A new Made in Nigeria mark was commissioned, with Made in Nigeria officially launched as an independent, non-profit organization in April 2013. You can read more about our journey on our website.
